Happy 99th Birthday to our national treasure Sir David Attenborough! You have shown us the beauty of nature and helped make environmental issues something we all care about. ❤️

Just watched Conclave with my husband. We both thought it was good and I loved the ending.

I always wondered why my eggs were occasionally dirty. It turns out it's actually illegal to sell washed eggs in the UK because it removes the "bloom", a naturally occurring layer that protects the egg from contamination (salmonella etc) and spoilage. I'll never complain about dirty eggs again!

How has Matt Morsia (Legend from Gladiators) managed to find the balance between being such a class A show off on one hand but so thoroughly likeable on the other?
It's fascinating and an example of good self-awareness.

There are rumours of a Radiohead tour. My favourite band of all time....

I've only just learnt that if I keep the unlock button pressed on my volvo keyfob for a few seconds, it'll unwind all the windows. Similarly, if I keep the lock button pressed, it'll wind them all up.

My enthusiasm for painting my utility room red is waning now because I've remembered how terrible I am at painting. I get very enthusiastic at first and then slapdash half way through. So I'm going to have to go over my mistakes today. I do like the colour though..it's beautiful (Lick red 3).

Popcorn, fluffy socks, blankets....looking forward to the Traitors UK final this evening!

When did the word "jog" become almost redundant (in the UK at least?) I never hear people say "I went for jog" anymore. It's always "I went for a run".

I'm so tired of hearing about the latest fad diet in January and how to optimise your life. I feel like this market is really over-saturated. So many rules. Social media is flooded with posts of what to do and what not to do. They can do one.

Sad news about Tony Slattery 💔

My new dentist told me I needed to get an impacted wisdom out quoting over £600. My instinct told me not to go ahead. Got a second opinion from a more experienced dentist... No extraction needed. In fact best not to because it could lead to nerve damage he said. When in doubt, get a 2nd opinion! 💜

Time to host the family again tomorrow. I have to get the house in shape but Traitors is on in 10 mins so it's going to have to be a quick clear up tomorrow morning.

Online parents evenings. An idea brought about by necessity from the covid days and what a brilliant idea it is too. No more waiting to speak to the english teacher in a queue full of frustrated parents, then missing the history teacher's timeslot... The online system is way better.

Westfield London is the largest shopping mall/centre in Europe. It's crazily big.
Just looking at the app. It would be really useful if you could select all your favourite shops and then for it to come up with a suggested efficient walking route. That would be such a useful feature.

The lesson I'm in the process of learning is self-compassion.
It allows for more repair "on the go" without needing to withdraw from everyone to heal.
By not beating myself up about the small things and being kinder towards myself, I don't need to take as much time out to heal from the wounds. 💜

Our Christmas visitors have come and gone, and I'm left feeling a little sad at that.

I hope my Bristol friends are alright tonight. It must have been a shock to get a government alarm on mobiles warning about the weather.

I could go for a run this morning or I could spend 30 minutes more in bed instead. It's a tough call...

I tried to rummage through my fridge just now to check my tomato puree was Napolina and not Tesco's own brand. No such luck finding said puree tube. Will need a more indepth search later. 🫤
