Exploring inspiration from Aztecs/Ancient Mexico, I came up with two cultures i can't wait to share more about.

For now, this one is indeed about Harpies!
The bright colors and black clothes come from Alebrije, which makes them look kinda like Sci Fi-Natives? Kind of fun imo!
A Sketch of a winged harpy lady. Her legs are those of a bird, and she has wings on her bac. Pointy ears and nose. Dark-skinned with that bronze tone characteristic of latinos in Mexico. Her clothes are inspired by Aztec warriors with a civilian spin, the bright minty green inspired by Alebrije to make her culture stand out more.

I think Angels are neat, but Celestials could be a touch more monstruous. Only then does the "Be not afraid" makes sense.

Meet Artemis, a Celestial in my setting.
Her skin looks like Marble and her disconnected limbs defy logic. Her Divine Bow shoots arrows made of holy light.
Artemis, an Angel with Marble skin, Blonde-pale hair and 8 wings. Her Head, Forearms and Forelegs are all disconnected from the torso, emulating Ancient sculptures. Pair of wings on head, Torso and Ankles of each leg emulating Hermes. Golden Metal Kneepads and Elbowpads accentuate the dettached limbs. White Blouse and skirt, with brown straps emulating greek sandals. She has 2 sets of Amber eyes, one of which directly between her eyes and cheeks. Her right hand is missing, manipulating a holy bow through Magic, a golden string to be used for golden light arrows she creates on her other hand.

Weben is a Blue-skinned female figure wearing tattered clothes in stitches. She has long blue-gray hair and a white diadem. She has 4 arms, 1 set of arms over the other. The ones above have long sleeved black gloves while the set below has small fingerless gloves. She has spider-like threads wrapped around her wrists and hip, and She's playing with a magic thread while looking at the viewer with a tilted head, a playful smile and vacant empty eyesockets.

I think Elves that look like humans with pointy ears have no reason to co-exist with Half-Elves that.... look exactly the same.

That's why i decided to make my own take on a Dark Elf: The Um'bran.

Sum'brae here is the princess of the Underdark, with a tireless curiosity for what the surface holds.
The same character presented twice. In one she's completely pitch black with only white dots for eyes being recognizable. On the Right, a Dark Elf with elongated arms, legs, torso and neck gives her a super tall Alien look. Her skin is a deep blue-ish purple. Black Sclera and white pupils. Long Dark blue hair and elongated pointy ears even for an elf. Her clothes are all black. A Skirt, toeless-socks, a simple bra and plenty of see-through clothes over her cleavage, arms and legs. She has small violet edge-accesories in a necklace, belt and socks to break apart the general dark color without bringing too much attention to themselves. Her hands are much bigger than her hands, with elongated fingers that make her silhouette look like claws

Designed a Water Genasi. Got inspired by Desert stuff, so i might write down a one shot in the future.

Her name is O'isis. It's a fun pun of sorts, mixing "Oasis" because of her water powers and "Isis", which means "Throne of the Queen".

Yes, she can water-bend as her main means of attack.
A Blue-skinned Humanoid with black Sclera and white pupils known as a Water Genasi. She's posing with her arms open, a Scarf-like Stole wrapped around her arms and waist, but the twist is that it's made of water and kept afloat through magic. Her Sorcery shapes one end of the Stole into an Eel to bite at her enemies. Her Dark blue dress is made of Satin, with an opening for her waist and her thighs as a whole. Silver chains adorn the edges of her dress with Purple gems centered as accesories. She's got Black loose Hair that goes all the way to her knees, with a semi-transparent veil the same color as the water, held on her head with silver chains. Toeless shoes. Ample cleavage. A Smirk that tells the viewer she's confident in her beauty and her abilities.

Feeling... rough. Lately.

While war and genocide become daily news. While my country is held hostage by bigots who want me and the people I love to die." Cait holds her head in her hands, overwhelmed by pinging alerts Panel 1: "But I can't think that way. ...not every day, at least..." Cait balls her fists, grimacing with tears on her face Panel 2: "I love what I do. And I work in entertainment - providing beauty and escapism for my audience." She puts her glasses back on and picks up her tablet pen, sniffling Panel 1: "We need art in turbulent times. People need escape from the horrors. And if I can provide that - then I'm being helpful." Cait starts drawing, but the pinging alerts are on the rise again. Panel 2: "I'm being helpful. I'm being helpful... I'm being helpful... I'm helpful... Helpful..." She draws, trembling, as the alerts swell around her.
