Jan-Mar 2022 was driest on record, so you can't exactly use that as an example of why this dry spell isn't unusual

Some of it is that but obviously there are a lot of reasons people might want to stay in a hotel in Oakland. It always struck me as under-hoteled; then we built a bunch; then covid, and now here.

Covid is the earth-mover here but we're approaching 6 years on now. Things must get better at some point? Are we ever going to move on? Will it take a full decade?

Two problems with this one: "Extreme cold watch" was new for NWS and they chose a time to introduce it when it was clearly not warranted. Also, Apple is braindead with automatically converting every watch or warning, not matter how routine, to "Severe weather" alert on iphone home screen.
