I’m posting this after the House approved to release the Epstein files: there will NOT be anything incriminating in them for Trump. Maybe weird like we have currently, but not incriminating. They’ve delayed this long so they can review and delete/edit any that might have been incriminating.

It’s almost quaint watching clips from All The President’s Men because of Redford (RIP) and how we used to see it as reporters saving the country. Now we watch it and see the moment when the Republican Party got angry they had been caught and dedicated itself 100% to making the US a dictatorship.

If it’s true that the shooter was motivated because he thought the Covid vaccine made him sick, then RFK jr should be held personally responsible. But nothing will happen from him promoting lies and conspiracy theories even though it literally killed people.

Today the Supreme Court decided that any president can make any Executive Order that blatantly goes against the Constitution and it’s in effect until it goes the Supreme Court AND they render an opinion. So he can murder people if he wanted and we’d have to wait until they ruled to stop it.

Among all the many issues with the Trump Administration, the complete dismissal and disdain for people actually competent at their job is harmful and troubling, but not surprising. Our country hates intelligence and professionalism now as a principle.

The United States cannot be trusted anymore to follow science. Period. It’s being run by crackpots who believe people can cure cancer by eating more yogurt. In New Zealand there was an influencer who did this who was exposed as a fraud. The U.S. would put her in charge of the FDA.

The phrase “Historians will note this time in U.S. history…” misses the point entirely. Which historians? Because the entire point of an autocracy is that U.S. historians will describe this time as when our Fabulous Leader saved the country from Venezuelan gangs roaming the streets.

Where will this all lead you ask? There will be a massive protest at some point (social security dismantled? Rigged elections?). Violence will ensue. People will be killed (military? Proud boys?) Fox and Republicans will say they were paid by Soros or immigrants. Nothing will happen.

None of this is funny. My son is growing up in a racist autocracy which itself is ruled by billionaires. There is no rule of law and there will be no social safety net. I’m sorry son. Too many people wanted to vote for a man who bragged about grabbing women by the pussy. You understand, right?

I keep seeing articles that say “We are approaching a constitutional crisis” or “Trump is an aspiring autocrat”, etc. These are all wrong. The U.S. is currently a fundamentalist autocracy. Period. We’re not approaching it. That’s what we are. The only question now is for how long.

I’ve never seen a team that can’t shoot the basketball like St John’s. It’s truly staggering. And they’re a #2 seed. They are horrible. Can’t make layups.
