You also can always ask if you're concerned. The desk should be able to tell you, sometimes copays especially if they know you'll have a follow-up are prepaid at the first visit.

There are laws against surprise billing now. It doesn't mean for sure you won't get one, but generally if there is no copay when you arrive you may have to pay one later but it would be the more nominal copay like $20-30 not like a surprise $300. Generally. There are always exceptions.
