The 99% Invisible City: A Field Guide to the Hidden World of Everyday Design by Kurt Kohlstedt and Roman Mars! Really good look into the finer details of urban design that we don't really think about too deeply or often. I still catch myself looking out for those details now, years after reading it!

i have some thoughts about the lore and I'm sure it's going to take a bit of time to really digest everything this game dropped and their implications on thedas as a setting, but overall I'd say that was 80 hours well spent and I'm already thinking up my next rook

much preferred the mission structures in veilguard over inquisition and was really thankful about the lack of fetch quests and collectathons (looking at you, shards) that made my time with dai feel forcefully bloated to the point where i decided to stop doing them so i could keep playing the game

the way they all interact with each other at the lighthouse made it fun and dynamic to return to base after every mission or sidequest!!! really made it feel like rook was coming home to take a breather between all the chaos of the missions

i enjoyed all the companions quite a lot and i had some trouble locking into a romance because of it (did end up going with neve gallus, the love of rook's life)

dav combat and the primer+detonation combos were fun to play with along with all the different items and the upgrading/enchanting options at the caretaker's workshop

this is maybe my favorite iteration of combat in any of the dragon age games (inquisition just felt a little too unresponsive to me, although origins will always have a special place in my heart for introducing me to RTWP gameplay)
