Let’s make ghost guts (a.k.a. oobleck)! This video stitch (@mrs.b.tv) explains how cornstarch + water = squishy non-Newtonian fluid science slime! Liquid when you pour it, solid when you squeeze it… spooky!

Transcript: Where am I? I'm in Huntsville, Alabama. Why is Huntsville signed this way? Huntsville is known for rocket production and for NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center, where they work with the International Space Station (ISS). (1/4)

Astronauts return from the International Space Station (ISS) having aged less than they would have on Earth. (2/4)
atomichands.bsky.social
Because of "relative velocity time dilation", the high-speeds that astronauts aboard the ISS are traveling mean that time slows down for them relative to people on the surface of the Earth. (3/4)
atomichands.bsky.social
It’s not a failsafe anti-aging trick though: after 6 months on the ISS, astronauts are only 0.005 seconds younger than the rest of us. Very interesting! (4/4)
atomichands.bsky.social
Did you know astronauts age slower in space? Thanks to time dilation, their high speeds aboard the ISS make time tick a little slower than on Earth! But don’t pack your bags yet. After 6 months, they’re only about 0.005 seconds younger. Still, pretty mind-blowing!
