Agender cat person, adoptee, autist, historian, novel reader. She/They/He/Etc.
I have gotten better at identifying which cats, monkeys, and ducks may be mine to wrangle, and which I can let be free to be someone else's circus to deal with. Which helps me volunteer without being asked more often. Which gives me more energy to go home and play with food in the kitchen.

Even if he weren't, that doesn't make any sense at all.

YES.
I do think it would help if we medically and culturally treated infertility like the loss it is. And if we socially validated children lifestyles.
But that doesn't eliminate the entitlement or the money to be made in baby brokering.

It's an upside for the abortion access funds and first mom support funds who get my spite donations.

Let's go back to creating only desperate decisions and ignore the PEOPLE who are the PRODUCT of desperation. Our a-parents are desperately infertile and our b-parents are financially and socially desperate and we grow up desperate to understand who we are and how we got here.

UGH. I keep getting mail from these people as my a-mother supported some in her town. But she's been dead for 2 years.

Cars are also so much bigger/taller now, but kids are still pretty small.

As a cyclist, do you like the ones north of Rainier? I'm curious how that works for riders.

Thank you for sharing. This particular entitlement riles me -- and I chose to never have kids WAY before I knew anything about my queer identity, so I always feel I can't speak on it.

And no one thinks about the future generations of an adoption who are severed from their roots. I think about this constantly and I am child-free by choice!

I don't know how much my a-parents spent. But I do know that my sibling and I were cheaper/less placeable, so could go to my older-than-desirable a-parents. My b-mom was "Oriental-looking" according to records, and my sibling's b-dad was "unknown, maybe black." We're both white-passing now, but...

I'm Gen X, and while paying a lot for rent, I can afford to splurge on this. But I would STILL LOVE this gift. Consumables are great, and fancy splurges are awesome. We try to pick up interesting seasoning mixes and condiments for gifts when we see them through the year.

To make it easier for adoptive parents. It supposedly would alleviate our bastard stigma, but ...

Nah, let's just keep all abandoned or mostly abandoned strip malls?
