TSMC chips are expected to be at least 50% higher due to labor and materials cost than Taiwan's, and do not produce their latest Gen chips in Arizona on purpose - they do that in Taiwan.
Taiwan also produces far more advanced chips that China.

Depends how badly the US doesn't want the semiconductor and microchip industry to fall into the hands of another sphere of influence.
If there's any other country in the world with vital resources and industry that isn't oil, it's Taiwan.

Yeah good luck, this just isn't going to fly. The word has become lexicalized into the Western vernacular.
We still use the word "film", but that was for photographic film stock. Now its used for all movies including fully digital productions.
Similar thing with "Channel".

Just a reference though, the exchange rate is $1.25 NZD for every $CAD dollar, & since 2005 hasn't been lower than about $1.10 (even had as high as $1.60 in 2009).
I'm not saying you're wrong, but you're better off comparing it to Australia, which is $24.95 and closer to historic parity with $CAD.

I'm not American, but what seems painfully obvious in modern U.S. voting is that MAGA voters don't vote to make their own lives better; they vote that way to make other people's lives worse.
These people get stimulated seeing communities outside their bubble be marginalized & oppressed.
