it allows for better positioning immediately after, while also laying on some extra damage. this means lance always has an option for this 50/50 from Mizu, which is REAL nice. only thing i can do better here is get in some pokes just before i power guard (2/2)

handy tech here where you can turn around power guard and then focus mode midway through the GRT leap to get a ton of distance

here i'm comparing the distances of the two possible GRTs, and you can see that it is NOTICEABLE. i would not have been able to hit Arkveld's head without this tech

also wanted to combine Rathian and Rathalos into a single fashion set bc the Wyvern Lovers dual blades are rad
