On the one hand, this is good for stopping churches/militias that openly call for the deaths of LGBT people... on the other hand it can be exploited based on an ever changing definition of "disruptive" or "torrorism abroad".

Of course, I just find it a little sad that a party claiming to fight back against the elites goes on to elect only elites that continue to pass legislation for themselves while their voting base claps at their own destruction.

Well no, it's just that the criminal system will always favor the wealthy and elite among us. We just need to stop empowering them by putting them into power like we did this election, cause now all we'll see for the next 4 years is the system become even more favored for people like Trump and co.

Please remember that these Essays/Opinion pieces are just paid for blog posts directly to NYT. This is not the same as any official news or stances of the business. Though I do agree they need to do a better job of filtering things instead of just turning a cheek because it pays the bills.

They simply use "Trump Derangement Syndrome" as a way to dismiss all criticisms and paint opposition as out of touch. I'm just sad it works on those idiots.

I guess a way to think about this is that there are many renowned musicians that never formally learned how to read music, and so they still understand/use/respect music despite not being able to read musical notation.

Yup, relatable. Imposter syndrome is a life-long friend, and it's best solved by learning to live/cope with it. Given the current job market for tech, I can also relate to taking any job since it's better than McDonald's.

They are likely facing financial issues and wanted to find an opportunity to both end the expensive sports program and take a crack at getting money from conservative sponsors by putting Christian in the name and hope it makes headlines/be seen as controversial.

I don't think renaming the school and dropping football is going to do very much to improve the abyssmal education outcomes of the state of Mississippi.
