Just finished "Wicked for Good". This is definitely a movie that is better watched as a double feature with the original. Not that this is bad, it's just so clearly the second half of something, where the first felt more like a standalone experience. 6/10 by itself, 7 with the original.

Just finished "If I had legs, I would kick you". This movie is what I imagine "Friendship" starring Tim Robinson is for women. It's a black comedy turned thriller about the stresses of being a mother. Would make a great double feature. 7/10

Just finished Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein. It's a beautifully shot film, amazing sets, great acting all around. Heading had never fully seen a Frankenstein story in its entirety before, I never truly understood how pathetic of a character Viktor was. 8/10

Just finished "One Battle After Another". It's a Greta film, Paul Thomas Anderson's sense of humor works really well in an action thriller more than I thought it would. The shear sternness that Sean Penn's character had tied the entire movie together. He is so intimidating and funny. 9/10

Just finished Caught Stealing. It was a fun film, definitely the most normal Darren Aronofsky movie I've seen. I liked every performance but I felt that a few of them were underutilized. The cinematography was great though. The drone shots really made the best use of NYC as a setting. 6/10

I just had an insane realization. It's called kombucha because Kombu means seaweed and cha means tea. How did I not realize this til now.

Just finished The Naked Gun (2025). There is an eye exam in the credits. 8/10

Finished Fantastic 4: First Steps. I really liked the characters and the actors for the fantastic 4 themselves is pretty spot on. I feel like the last half of the movie really didn't know what to do, especially with Ben. 5/10, maybe a 4.

Just came back from Superman. While I have issues with the movie (primarily with pacing) I can't deny that this movie gets these characters. Superman and Lex might be my favorite live action versions of these characters to date. Nicolas Hoult was perfect in this role. 7/10

Just found out they made a personality quiz for Nightreign. If you know me then you know that this is really on brand for me.

Just finished Phoenician Scheme. I think that if you know someone who wants to get into Wes Anderson movies, this is the movie to show them. It feels a lot more accessible compared to his others and manages to hit all the beats you want from these kind of movies. 6/10

Just finished "Thunderbolts*" this is probably the best MCU movie since Infinity War. My only real complaint is that they could've done better giving all the characters enough screen time. And also Valentina still hasn't grown in me as a character. 7/10

Just finished Sinners. It's a beautifully shot movie that is almost a musical with how integral the songs are to the experience. I love how dream-like the whole film is. My only problem is that the structure makes it so that some story lines don't feel complete. 8/10. Maybe a 9

Just watched Sacramento. It's nice seeing Michael Cera in a main role again and he did a great job with the subtle anger of his character. Michael Angarano just disappeared into his character though. It was fun though a little heavyhanded. 6/10

Just finished the Ballad of Wallis Island. It's a delightful feel good film. Love that Tim Key has been in more films. 7/10

Just Finished Netflix's Devil May Cry. To start off, I'm gonna say that I did enjoy this show for what it is. The story was good not great, acting was stellar (especially Hoon Lee), animation was good except some CGI.

This show feels like everything it knows comes from skimming reddit. (1/3)

Just finished Death of a Unicorn. This movie feels like they just ran out of ideas half way through. Like the novelty of the idea of killing a unicorn with your car and then pharmaceutical companies exploiting its blood was fun. Then the rest was pretty generic. Will Poulter was great though. 5/10

Just finished Black Bag. It's a surprisingly short thriller but has enough going on to keep you on your toes. The movie is as much of a romance film as it is a spy movie. The twist as a spy thriller is pretty obvious but the mature yet complicated relationships dynamics were really engaging. 8/10

Just finished Novacaine. It was a very light hearted yet gory, straight forward action movie and if that's what you're looking for then this is a great time. This is also great if you want to see two Nepo Babies try to kill each other. 6/10

Just saw "The Day the Earth Blew Up". What a very classic Looney Tunes feeling movie. It's a very simple movie and it doesn't really need to be anything more. The intro sequence with Farmer Jim was one of the funniest things I've seen in a while.

6/10
