I stand by Immigrants. I stand by BIPOC communities. I stand by Indigenous communities. I stand by the houseless, the poor, the hungry, our neighbors. I stand by my fellow LGBTQ+ community, especially the ones who cannot come out due to safety.

Stay strong. You are loved. Be as safe as you can.

Keep speaking out against the horrors that are happening. Use your voice. Resist.

I am going to start publishing under a pen name. This is for personal reasons and not indictive of a specific situation. Eventually I will release updated versions of "Cutoff" and "Escape" with updated author names. Cutoff will probably have a new cover. Nothing in the story will change. 1/2

I will always stand against white supremacy, white nationalist, christian nationalist, racist, colonizing, bigoted Nazis. People pushing these ideas are poisonous to human society on a global scale. If me saying this upsets you, then my books aren't for you. I will NEVER write books for bigots.

I took some time away from social media. I am okay. I might not post on a daily basis for a while, but I am getting back into the swing of things (we are working on inputting edits for book 2 and plotlines for the rest of the Unbowed series). Everyone needs to do what is best for us. Be safe.

I just read this adorable, heartwarming graphic novel! "Always Human" by Ari North is a lovely little escape from the crushing weight of reality right now. LGBTQ+ representation, young love, disability themes, and beautiful artwork. Loved it! #booksky💙📚🪐 #lgbtq

I think the best part about writing scifi/fantasy is that I can create any character I want. Total freedom, which is not something we experience in our reality lives. #booksky💙📚🪐

I haven't "celebrated" U.S. nationalism day for years now, so it's unsurprising that I still won't this year. The only difference is that not celebrating is acceptable now, whereas in the past I was criticized.

Took a few minutes to pick up some trash on the sidewalk. Mornings where most people don't go to work or school are so quiet. It is actually nice to sit outside and listen to the birds without being overstimulated by traffic or choked by exhaust. Before the sun rises it is cool and pleasant. 🐦‍⬛🐦

Sooner or later I am going to write a book where every character is trans. Main character? Trans. Side character? Trans. Barista? Trans. Traffic cop they pass by while talking about main plot points? Super trans. Those two old people playing checkers in the park and drinking coffee? Trans #booksky📚💙

I want kids to learn about LGBTQ+ identities, health, history, rights, and issues. I want them to learn consent. I want them to have the tools to protect themselves. Until we live in a world that is actually safe for people, these are life skills they need. #lgbtq

Feel your feelings. Give yourself a minute to breathe. Then, it's time to get to work. Don't stop moving forward. Don't be silenced. The world needs our voices. While my readers take a pass at draft two of the next Unbowed book, I have been working on outlining the rest of the series.

I was walking into an apartment building and a random person yelled at me, asking why I was wearing a mask. I was confused and replied that I wear it all the time. They apologized and that was the end of the exchange, but this is the first time a stranger asked me about my mask. Weird. #mask
