In fact it was a "hard man" Isildur that almost got the world of men destroyed by refusing to throw the ring into Mount Doom because of his greed.

I think those type of "Torture porn" movies have died out except in very low budget movies. In the 80s we had "torture porn" movies to, like Cannibal Ferox, Cannibal Holocaust, Snuff ect.

Since Hostel came out we've had The Conjuring movies. The Insidious movies, the movies of Ari Aster, Jorden Peele, Oz Perkins, Robert Eggers, Talk to Me, The Babadook, It Follows,It, ect. None of these like Hostel.

I used to collect horror VHS tapes in the 80s and the 1984 video recordings act (video nasties) just gave us a handy list of which movies to look out for.
