Finished hooking this piece I designed for my sister. She loves owls and I asked her to name her favorite. She said she loves the barred owl because its call is said to sound like "Who Cooks for You?" When she hears the one in her yard call out she replies "Audrey, Audrey cooks for me!" Love her.

I pulled out the fuzzy yarn and replaced it with fabric loops. I think it works better now.

I finished my first hooked rug. I used wool strips for the flowers and top leaves and wool yarn for the background and bottom leaves and stem. I’m not sure the bottom leaves and stem work well with the fuzzy yarn. I’m considering redoing that area with another yarn or wool strips. Thoughts?
