Autistic to autistic communication is not always easier. We don’t all communicate the same nor do we all understand each other. Autistic to autistic communication can also be a struggle.

Especially within the autism community there are a lot of views, opinions and groups of people i don’t agree with. However i still think there’s value in understanding and listening to different perspectives than your own even if you don’t agree.

I do not claim to speak for all autistic people but I can include them in the conversation.

It’s autism awareness and acceptance month. This means all autistic people not just high or low support needs. This means autistics of all support needs and backgrounds.

Daily reminder that ADD was combined with ADHD in the DSM 5. ADHD now has 3 substypes: hyperactive, inattentive and combined type.

Everytime I see someone say that autism isn’t a diasbility it’s a different ability I want to scream.

The amount of people who believe facts from big creators who have no evidence to back it up is concerning.

People need to stop referring to every group or person they don’t like as narcissists, psychopaths, sociopaths ect.

One of the saddest things to me is standing there while other people are able to talk, joke and connect with each other and you have no idea how to join in or connect no matter how much you want to.

People need to stop using disorders as adjectives like “i’m so OCD” or “i’m so autistic” especially when most of the time people don’t fully understand what these disorders are and how disabling they can be.

In regards to disability, there is a difference between being able to do something and being able to do something without struggling.

It’s interesting how many past experiences you can put into context when you have the words / knowledge to describe them.

I’ve been able to understand so much about my own experiences and the experiences of those around me in my journey learning about autism and ADHD.
