It was an emotional trip. There were a few planned activities and a couple of spontaneous ones that caught me off guard. I sobbed into my hands at the Stonewall National Monument thinking of how hard the LGBTQ community, my community, has fought to exist. The fight isn’t over. 1/2

Flying to New York tomorrow to see a friend. We’ll spend a couple of days upstate then travel together into the city. It’s my first time visiting NYC and I can’t imagine doing it with anyone else. She is my ride or die!

Coffee date yesterday. My talented, brilliant, sweet friend broke down in tears and begged me to reconsider when I told her I’ve decided to stay and fight, rather than flee to France and wait out the incoming administration.
That’s how scary it is for trans people in the United States right now.
