What helped me a lot honestly was afterward one of the nurses reassuring me that it was the right choice based on what my dad had told her while he was lucid. I figure she deals with this a lot and I believed her. Right or wrong I still don't know, but I'm at least ok with the choice

I'm sorry. Was POA in a similar situation when my father passed a couple years ago. It's impossible having to make an immediate decision after a complication, regardless of planning. Had they gone the other way with the choice they'd be questioning it also. Can't win
