For sure specific to the genre, but I also wonder how much of this is attributable to cost. It’s wildly unaffordable to do a theatre-based family movie night now, with tickets and concessions running a family of 4 ~$200. Curious to know what the uptick in viewership is once movie goes to streaming.

My husband (50, excellent health) went for check up. Casually mentioned pain he thought was an old ski injury. Doc did ultrasound. It was a tumor on his kidney. Stage III. We wouldn’t have known until too late but for this doc taking him seriously. Zero family hx. Zero risks. Cancer gives no fucks.

This. Started homeschooling in 6th grade b/c it was either put time and $ into that or a long fight w/ district that would cost precious time we’d never get back. Finding resources not steeped in Christian nationalism or overt anti-science has been wild and the district has been nearly zero help.
