i love that DCD album, annoyingly my fav track from it is only on the deluxe so getting it on vinyl would be stupid

interesting, i think i prefer both etherealwave and ethereal goth better maybe, i think the word is perfect for describing the genres energy

i'll have to listen to it, i haven't listened to any goth albums for the first time for a while now (other than the cure and vision videos new albums) :)

the first cocteau twins album (my fav of theirs) is very spiky sounding, also my fav Faith and the Muse song, 'the Trauma Coil' is one of the darkest sounding goth songs i've heard

etherealwave is the best! its like an inbetween between gothrock and dreampop (although im pretty sure it came before dreampop/shoegaze)

theres also corrosion, which to my understanding is kind of a mix w/ goth and shoegaze although i might be wrong (there isn't as much info on it as other genres)

i thought it was cus it was kind of a shortening of ethereal darkwave ?
