cancer is life-altering but not defining.

I forgot about BlueSky so here’s my cat trying to steal dinner. She did not succeed and proceeded to scowl.

Hi. I’m 40 now.

Pretty cool when I thought I might not live to this age.

In an unplanned genius move, the Girl Scout cookies are in another room and there’s two cats holding me hostage.

Cats. Again. Two purring cats. No fighting. A+

I was a guest on a new podcast about appendix cancer. As a survivor of high-grade stage IV cancer I've been through a lot and am here to share the story. Please consider giving a listen: open.spotify.com/episode/3HET... #appendixcancer #hipecsurgery

Why is Onyx Storm so f-ing long? Her editor sucks. This book did not need to be over 500 pages. I got so bored in the middle. I just want it to be over.

She’s very helpful.

It’s an amazing song. I’m lucky to have heard it twice at Red Rocks last summer.
When you least expect it...

You may have heard "After The Setting Sun" at a recent show and now it will be everywhere this Thursday at 9am ET/6am PT! 💙 Loved creating this one and cannot wait for the world to hear it. We've got more news coming your way. Stay locked in. 🫶

Cats. Because almost everything is awful.

Weird perspective. Stella is actually much smaller than her fluff ball sister Nala.

I’ll share this forever. Listen to your body. Trust your intuition. I wrote off my symptoms as being a woman. Nope. stage IV cancer. If your doctor ignores or dismisses you, get a new one. Young people are often dismissed as we’re not supposed to get cancer. This prolongs diagnosis and treatment.
Early detection of #appendixcancer can save lives.

Symptoms like abdominal pain, bloating, increased girth, hernia, ascites, and pelvic pain in women are often misdiagnosed. If you have any of these, consult your healthcare provider & ask about appendix cancer.

Funny story: when you have a mishap while feeding a stingray you basically end up with a hicky from said stingray. Photo on the left was from maybe 2 days after it happened in December and the second photo is today. They have no teeth but strong suction for eating fish and sea creatures.

I’m here. Maybe. Let’s see if I can tolerate it.

Here are my cats.
