This week the only main road to Minehead was blocked for hours, bus services were cancelled as the only other routes are narrow country lanes. West Somerset heritage railway had a busy day🚂!

If you watch a film version make sure it’s the 1993 one- Dame Maggie Smith leads a great cast, I thought Andrew Knott as Dickon was a great choice

My local home town of Bridgwater UK had the first petition against slavery in 1785- many families had memories of the hundreds of local men who were enslaved for being on the “wrong side”of the Monmouth rebellion a hundred years before.

Most of the big old family farms around here in Somerset have been limited companies for decades.
Those 500 farms affected have plenty of time to sort their tax affairs .
