8 October 1937 | A French Jewish girl, Helene Akar, was born in Bar-le-Duc.

In August 1944 she was deported to #Auschwitz and murdered in a gas chamber after the selection.

8 October 1942 | SS-Brigadeführer August Frank from WVHA wrote to Reichsführer SS Heinrich Himmler that the Office of Medical Affairs and Camp Hygiene had so far collected 50 kilograms of gold from the teeth of deceased prisoners for dental purposes of the SS. This supply would last for five years.

8 October 1937 | Dutch Jewish girl, Sara van Hasselt, was born in Rotterdam.

In August 1942 she was deported to #Auschwitz with her mother Heintje. They were probably both murdered in a gas chamber after arrival selection. Her father, Levie, also perished in Auschwitz.

7 October 1941 | A French Jewish boy, Claude Vecksler, was born in Paris.

He arrived at #Auschwitz on 25 September 1942 in a transport of 1,000 Jews deported from #Drancy. He was among 475 of them murdered in gas chambers after the selection.

He was 11 months old.

7 October 1889 | A Czech Jewish woman, Anna Freundová, was born in Prague.

She was deported to #Auschwitz from #Theresienstadt ghetto on 15 December 1943. She was registered in the family camp for Jews from #Theresienstadt. She did not survive.
