Had a funny memory of a lizard I used to find in my yard in eastern Australia while looking under rocks (as a 5 year old) with tiny tiny tiny legs. Part of me didn't believe it was real, but nope, found it! Australian wildlife is truly so special :) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saiphos

Email one of my fave areas of insane engineering in the progressive dehancement area, there's this neat trick you'll see where they serve out pixelated images in table form for email clients that don't support image. Images from this article referencing it (www.displayblock.com/2018/01/16/p...)

Masters on right now. I'm not much of a golf guy, but I nerd out on their website every year. www.masters.com - Video + Webgl in sync, live af, every stat everyone would want. Open as it gets. Great on mobile. These engineers CARE so much. Just completely A+ example of how good an experience can be.

One book I recommend a lot is A Player of Games, by Ian Banks (its book 2 of a series, but its not a chronological thing at all, so dive in!) It was written in 1988, and perfectly predicted "no one believes images or videos, it can all be generated instantly", just as a small early plot point.
