This is a car that raced in AUSCAR and AUSCAR was Australia's version of the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series, they raced the Holden Commodore and the Ford Falcon, the car in picture is a Holden Commodore.

A racetrack was the last place I expected to see a fruit tree but sure enough in front of the toilets at Calder Park Raceway was one and it was doing well.

I was playing NASCAR Racing 2003, a caution came out when I was running last, and the race was going to end under yellow; I pitted for repairs when pit road was closed, I then went around the field and joined the end of the line and crossed the line as the winner, I had won the race by a lap.

When Oldsmobile was on its way out in NASCAR competition, they were for a few years quickly snapped up in Australia.
Tropic Coast Racing was a major purchaser of the cars, buying at least five of them from 1990 until selling or reskinning them by 93/94.
