Could I ask you about this again? I'd like to make a more serious push for us to trial gradecope. When I've used it in the past I manually assigned pages to question parts. I think there is another way where different parts of the answer booklet are assigned to different questions. Which do you use?

I listened with a non-physics friend and liked your bit a lot. Do you have a favourite bit of popular writing about QM? I like to say that the mathematical objects that appear in the theory are not as obviously related to the things we observe and that’s ok: classical physics maybe spoils us a bit…

I thought Schrödinger was pointing to the difficulty of drawing a distinction between classical and quantum systems based on whether they are macroscopic or microscopic. For that purpose I thought it did the job (although we have got used to the subtleties today)

If we abandon the idea that “woman” has to have a uniform meaning across all of society (unlike, for example, “child”) then there’s no difference between excluding trans women and excluding heavyweights from a flyweight boxing match imo. But many people reject my premise, I understand

I mean if something is produced by a computer, read by a computer and assessed by a computer, maybe we should shake-up more than peer review?
