#6 THE LION KING
Giant animal puppets are cool as. Rafiki and Timone were stars. Obvi a great show though I thought the music was kinda disappointing...thought they would amped it a bit for the stage but it lacked depth despite having a full orchestra. Still a great time and kids were loving it!!

#5 THE BOOK OF MORMON
I've been trying to see this show for years and twice had tickets Covid canceled. It was even more hilarious and fun than I hoped (and surprisingly hasn't aged that badly). Had a brilliant time and loved every moment. Our Elder Cunningham was a star (better than Josh Gad!!!).

#4 TITANIQUE
Oh dear. A cynical money grab if I ever saw one. This was a series of tik tok sound bites, masquerading as jokes, pretending to be a show. It was internet slop with sequins. I hated it. The cast were fantastic. What a waste of energy and talent.

#3 BACK TO THE FUTURE THE MUSICAL
So much fun gang!! A glorious ode to the film and a fab dance ensemble and flying cars to boot. They were battling with quite a small stage space but made everything happen despite it. Pure joy. Brian Conley as Doc Brown is my fav performance of the month (so far).

#2 STRANGER THINGS: FIRST SHADOW
Absokutely phenomenal production! Projection and special effects with a Netflix budget. Some of it was absolute witchcraft and completely awe-inspiring. Performances were also strong. Script was a bit meh, but honestly who cares?? I loved it!

#1 CABARET
Purpose built theatre made for a beautiful and intimate space. They got heaps out of the raising, revolving, trap doored stage and overall design was fabulous. Play rings as true as ever in the current state of the world (sadly). Performances were fine but didn't wow.

#100 HOLE!
WE DID IT!! AND COULDN'T HAVE PICKED A BETTER SHOW TO END ON!!! A coming of age musical about two boys discovering they're gay in a world where everyone lives with butt plugs in and if their hole is exposed they get sucked into the sky. Hilarious, great songs, fun foli. Immaculate!

#99 RACHEL CALVO: THE SHITE FEMINIST
Meh. Stand up was ok. Was genuinely quite unfeminist for most of it and then did a weak apology at the end. Completely defeated its own purpose by spending 50mins reinforcing patriarchal stereotypes. Also wasn't that funny.

#98 BILL BAILEY
Just exquisite. 98 performances in and this guy really knows how to put a show! Bloody loved every second of it.

#97 JULIETTE BURTON: GOING ROGUE
Cool show about cosplay and identity with an interactive app to play along and vote for your favourites. Keep an eye out AUS/NZ. British Council grant pending, she's on her way down under soon!

#96 HISTORY COMEDY SHOW
Was real hungover, final day of fest vibes but all good natured fun. Was a comedy lineup with a history theme. Adine McQueen was a highlight. Sad to have missed her full show.

#95 MARK VIGAENT: THE BEST MAN SHOW
A chaotic, interactive Best Man speech. I wonder if he had a tough crowd and/or a bit of an off night, but wasn't for me. He's a great performer but it didnt really go anywhere and the crowd work was inconsistent. Seen him before and loved him so was disappointed.

#94 MEL AND SAM: PLATONIC HUMAN CENTIPEDE.
I was sort of dragged to this one. I haven't loved what I've seen of them online BUT THIS SHOW WAS AWESOME!! They were so tight, every song had a fun premise and their voices are stunning. Really impressed and 10/10 will see them again.

#93 MARK WATSON
Was everything I hoped he would be. Smart, funny, awkward, strangely chaotic. Lots of meat management content. Nina was tasked eith reminding him to hydrate every 10mins. There was a baby in the audience. Had real "final weekend" energy.

#92 BAKE OFF: THE GREAT BRITISH PANTO
Fun student production inspired by Bake Off. Not life-changing but a perfectly fun and frivolous way to spend and hour. Some really good voices in the cast too.

#91 STAMPTOWN
First half was sensational and I love that the techs have a proper toolbox to be part of the play. Unfortunately, the second half acts ranged from pointless to awful and really let down what would have been a great show.

#90 NICK MOHAMED: SHOW PONY
A all-round very lovely time. Didn't blow me away, but there were also lots of cultural references I was definitely missing. Was shocked at the high rate of walk-outs. Fun to see chatacter comedy mixed with magic and some celeb stories. A unique and fun night out.

#89 A MOMENT IN TIME
Magic show which incorporated storytelling. Had some original tricks in it which was great to see. A seasoned performer at the top of his game. Very much enjoyed a slightly more dramatic take on a magic show.

#88 HOPE UNDER THE HAMMER
I was expecting something more theatrical but it was just solid stand up about renting and living on a boat. Rock solid. Funny guy. Nothing to write home about.

#87 MIDNIGHT COMEDY CABARET
A cabaret reflecting on the last 12 months. Bryony is a gorgeous performer with a voice like honey. Well worth staying up for.

#86 THE MILITARY TATTU
Heck of a spectacle. The scale of over 500 musicians was a sound like nothing else and the projection onto Edinburgh Castle was so cool! Found some of the self-righteous military stuff a bit nauseating esp declaring that we are in "The peace time" when we clearly are not.

#85 DO ASTRONAUTS MASTERBATE IN SPACE?
A dramatic and moving piece exploring a world where the state decides whether you get to be a parent or not. An outstanding debut play from a local company. Well performed, well written and a searing reflection on the direction of women's rights.

#84 FRISCO FRED
Magic, juggling, music. A sweet and seasoned street performer doing his thing. 8/10 would watch again.

#83 ALI BRYCE PRESENTS ERIC MEAT
An absolute oddity. Did some of the most awkward (but still funny?) crowd work I've ever seen then revealed he'd let it go on too long to do the actual show. He asked me extensively about my fav sandwiches and I had to explain what luncheon is. Bizarre experience.

#82 KATIE MITCHELL: SPINE HYGIENE
There was some good stuff in here and I learned things about spines. Unfortunately performer was having a rough day and small hiccups with tech and some noise bleed really threw them. We're in the final days of this madness and it's starting to show.
