Own a copy of A Wrinkle in Time from 1970
Buy a copy from the last few years to have a reading edition
Sit down to read it and listen to the audiobook instead

I tried so hard guys. The audiobook is amazing though!

#FYI for authors looking to get published—if someone you’re submitting to asks if the book has ever been published before, and you self published it through any platform (even online on a blog), the answer is yes. Do not lie about this. People will find the versions out there. #bookpublishing

How to Sell Your First 1000 Copies

I recently attended the Taylor University Professional Writers Conference in Upland, IN. There, I had the pleasure of connecting with authors and editors, agents and publicists. I sat with authors as they asked me what they should do—should they self publish?…

I sat with authors as they asked me what they should do—should they self publish? Should they try for an agent? Should they work with a hybrid publisher? What if they had no budget?

From a colleague. Keep calling! It’s working!!!

“We’re hearing that because enough moderate Republicans in the House are telling Speaker Johnson they’re against PEPFAR cuts, the White House is going to amend the package. The pressure is working!!“
The House is voting on the rescissions package THIS THURSDAY.

Congress is considering devastating cuts to global health funding, including to PEPFAR and ‪@unicef.org

New book review! #booksky #bookreview #thenewneighbor #carterwilson

TL;DR this is a chilling psychological suspense novel and a masterclass in how to create tension.

The worst part about being a writer is returning to a great story and running out of content to read and then knowing you’re the reason for that… if I want to know how this ends I have to finish it myself.

#Thunderbolts* may be the best Marvel movie of the last few years. It was funny, the action was incredible, it dealt with real problems in a wonderful way and it brought us back to the stand-alone movie feel. 10/10. #moviereview

Every day it gets hard and harder to prove I’m not up to nefarious deeds…

What did you do today for work, you ask?
“Oh, I created a hidden message using a book cipher.”

One of my favorite things about humans now is that, instead of saying something like “After the tragedy of Covid…” many of us have taken to saying “Covid happened” as a way of explaining things.

“What have you been up to?”
“Well, I was working in a coffee shop and then Covid happened.”

I have spent the day reading and watching a show with my friend and I have the most gleeful feeling as if I’m getting away with something, like a kid playing hooky, and I am relishing in a guilty pleasure without any true reason for the guilt.

How am I doing? I’m so glad you asked. Today I made coffee in order to go to a coffee shop (with the intention of getting coffee there) because… I don’t know, my brain glitched and said “we’re going out??? Coffee.”

Octavia blend from the Good Store is fantastic though I must say.

I wish spotify had a “yes, this is exactly the music I want to keep finding more of” button. Not a like or a “add to playlist” but a “keep this genre and make an auto playlist of this I can return to” when they’re playing recommended songs

I love how Monk sometimes breaks with the conventions of the impossible crime genre by just not explaining how the impossible part was done. Who cares about that nerd stuff? Here's twenty minutes of Tony Shalhoub straightening things.

In today’s adventures with a roomba, my robot vacuum knocked loose trim off the corner of the island and brushed it under the rug.

This feels relevant.
