American Independence Day was yesterday. I wonder how many other Americans were thinking about the irony of celebrating freedom from an absolute power while the US Gov strips millions of healthcare, takes citizens and immigrants hostage in internment camps, and supports overseas genocide.

Sometimes I'm afraid to be too political and then I remember that for me and many, many others it's not just our opinions. It's life or death. So I'm not gonna keep my mouth shut.

Great piece covering a speech by my old boss and our newly minted New York State Senator, April Baskin. She makes an excellent point about why we can’t let our history be erased.
State Sen. April Baskin on Wednesday highlighted decades of racism in Buffalo’s past and decried Trump administration efforts to “erase Black people” in a speech to support a resolution marking February as Black History Month in New York State.

Working on a couple new projects for Lavendwriter with a friend! I want to talk more about what's going on in the world while also giving everyone a place to be ourselves and be safe expressing ourselves.

They don't cover it because they want to cover it up. If they want to cover it up, then they don't work for the people.
I'm sorry, but any major news media outlet not covering hands off protests, tesla protests, or the acts of popular resistance are making a deliberate choice -- to serve power.
