I've lived in Wellington for 11 years, have had many friends live in Hataitai, and I've seen it get that bad a couple times tops, and that's when events were on.

I watched it on Friday, and Sunday, it's just as good the second time.

Gunning for a knighthood too.

We've ended up with a similar case in Aotearoa/NZ, it's not great.

Their creaming soda is great too, although definitely very sweet.

Most TAL stuff supports Linux too, which is nice, although I've been having trouble getting them working, unfortunately.

I feel like "empowering" is too complimentary, user friendly Linux distros are doing that. It's more like he's motivating people to use Linux who might not've considered it otherwise.

I'm lucky in that I don't really play online games very much, and the handful I do work on Linux fine. No Man's Sky is the only online game I regularly play, and if anything that works better on Mint for me than on Windows.

Same. Copilot was my breaking point with Windows, now I'm on Mint.

I haven't tried it myself yet, but there's software called yarbridge that apparently makes it easy to get Windows VSTs to work well with Reaper on Linux.

It's amazing how varied peoples' brain's reactions to music is.

Hope it's not weird to ask, but I'm really fascinated by some of the psychology behind sound. Does having the sound loud enough you can physically feel the bass work like having it tapped out for you?

Yeah, most my house is on Linux, and the only smart devices aside from phones are lights that don't connect to the internet. Unfortunately Windows is still necessary for a lot of productivity software. It's getting better, but not quite there yet.

I'm going to hang on to my dumb TV for as long as it works. I'd never by a smart TV given a choice. Kinda wondering if there's some weird arse Linux OS that'll work on smart TVs.

Te Haika haven't been taking ADHD referrals for adults for years now, so it won't really make any change to the wait list.

Yeah, I'm perfectly capable of getting Arch working, but I just don't feel like it. Mint all the way.

It's so annoying, I've found one Linux group on Facebook that isn't full of insufferable pricks, every other space I've found dedicated to it is a nightmare.

The one upside of my weird arse backwards bank is they do everything by physical mail and phone calls still. Everything else just tells me I have a new letter and that I need into log into the account to see what it is.

Yeah, I wouldn't touch them. I should switch over to proton mail as well, but changing email addresses is such a nightmare.
