This weekend's successful Arena Direct run deck :) Didn't play much because of Silksong being a very effective distraction lol, but was glad to win a couple booster boxes with a classic Golgari deck

Impossible to understate how much better the combat feels in Silksong than Hollow Knight. HK has patient, methodical combat (a la Dark Souls), whilst Silksong in contrast feels like Sekiro; combat actively wants you to be aggressive, mobile and using your entire moveset

Watching Avatar the Last Airbender for the first time with a friend as “research” for the upcoming Magic set. Just finished season 1 and I’m amazed at how good it is?? Even watching it fresh at 33 years old it’s great

It is deeply surreal seeing less than 700 people register for a Magic Spotlight, meanwhile the 2000+ tickets for the Lorcana DLC (a roughly equivalent event) I’m attending sold out in under 6 minutes…

In the end I played 4 different Lorcana Set Champs with Blurple. Top 8'd all 4 of them after a combined 13-0-6 in swiss rounds :) Didn't manage to convert to a win, but a finals finish and 3 semifinals is still good considering I've been playing for only a couple months!

Drafted for the first time in months today with my partner because we’re both Final Fantasy fans, and had a blast! Highlight was this siiick 4 colour towns deck that went 7-1, having two different 8 mana “can’t lose” mythics was fun :)

Went 6-2 in a Modern event yesterday winning 6 Tarkir collectors boosties, and 5-0-1 in Modern today winning several hundred dollars of stuff
