I'm half asleep, so I have no idea how coherent this is at the moment. That shall be a problem for tomorrow's me. I'm going to go eat some bread and pass out for the night.

my logic behind the bread making origins of mankind may be completely off the mark. I'll be doing some research later to see how close or far my assumptions are to reality, but it was fun to rationalize beforehand. Just a simple thought experiment I had at work to keep the boredom away.

What was the reaction of the first group of people who tasted bread made with oil, or yeast, or melted cheese? The first tortilla? The first dumpling? Experimentation and curiosity is inherently human, and i feel all the breads of the world is a nice example of that. Again, no research was done, so

From there, further experimentation would commence. Will the flat bread taste good when something else is added to it before or after baking it? The recipes for these bread equivalents around the world would keep getting played with to find what works best for each culture, which spread to others.

Cooking it with fire likely came first. At some point they may have tried to alter it's state by soaking the grain in water or grinding it with stones to test if it would affect how it tastes or cooks. After grinding it to a powder and adding water, the resulting paste would bake into a flat bread.

Early man would logically have reliable access to several things regardless of where they are in the world. Relevant here would be stones, water, fire, and food. After discovering edible grains, early man would certainly experiment using them with their other readily available things started prior.

I took a single anthropology course back in college for fun, so I am no expert, nor have i done any research into this topic. I'm likely going to be wrong, but that's okay. I'm just writing this as a critical thinking exercise for my own entertainment. My thought was on the potential origin of bread

This may no longer be an issue for the farmers, but asking their opinion first seems fair.

Perhaps my memory is flawed, but isn't daylight savings directly beneficial to farmers, who must begin work at dawn? Due to stores closing right as the farmer's work is done due to dawn starting later, or something like that? Sleep is important, but we must consider everyone's needs, not just ours.

What does a werewolf say during a half-moon?

It depends on how they feel about being a werewolf. Some go "Awwww" while others go "Woooo!"
