Being closeted is scary but also sometimes funny because at the height of my denial of being trans I angrily had the thought "moving to Berlin to just be a transsexual is so unoriginal, get new material" lol

Just got back from an experimental theater piece exploring trans identity at the English Theater Berlin starring @avelosongs.bsky.social and featuring an appearance by @susanstryker.bsky.social, because this is fucking Berlin and we don't give in to prejudice and fearmongering here. #operalabberlin

The most rewarding part of this project has been working with Susan Stryker - last May I was citing her work in my video essay about trans voices and now we’ve collaborated on a piece!
