Taking a first draft break by working on a short story. Switching between silence and listening to the song it's based on has surprisingly helped.

🎲✂️ OKAY shortened the length of my game by 70% and I'm gonna playtest with my partner to see how it holds up with that plus with only 2 players. Before, we played 2 elements each as if there were 4 players.

Finally figured out what's pretty obvious but I'm slow: try things in test builds or early scenes before implementing so I don't have to playtest through the whole game to find out if it's working.
I'm slow, I know, but my notes are getting better! #gamedevelopment

Edited a slight spoiler out but emotions are high and the teens are Terrified. This whole scene was a jumble of logistics and research needed.

TTWCON isn't fantasy, it's supernatural horror. But I lace in fantastical elements in all my stories.

Reworking the length of my board game 🎲✂️ so me (and my cat) dug through our cardboard reservoir with a box cutter. Been using a formula to figure out spaces but with four paths and my dyscalculia... well it was a good starting point at least.
