Press för äppelmust. Ca 30 liter kross per pressning ger 14-18 liter must beroende på äppelsort. Fyra lager med kross. Skärbrädor som mellanlägg. I början flödar det mycket. Vartefter musten rinner ut pumpar minskar volymen på krosset. Använder en domkraft, man vill ha minst 5 kg/cm2. Det är inte mycket saft kvar efteråt, smakar nästan ingenting.

Vad tänkte du på som saknades under pandemin när du satt där som generaldirektör? Det saknas framförallt bredden inom de sociologiska områdena. Hur man skulle hantera människors oförmåga att ta till sig när det gäller råd och anvisning. Hur man skulle bete sig, hur stor skillnad det var i olika grupper. Det andra som vi behövde och byggde upp var en gedigen juridisk kompetens. Väldigt mycket av det som saknades var en lagstiftning. Det har ju Jan Albert i sin utredning tagit fram ett alldeles utmärkt förslag till en breddad lagstiftning som anknyter till det vi landade på. Det är en viktig komponent i det här. Så det är juridik, det är kommunikationsvetenskap, sociologi kombinerat med kunskaper både inom mikrobiologi men även inom vård och behandling eller åtgärder. I grunden så hanterar ju sjukvården det men vi måste också ha en kunskap i det. Väldigt mycket olika typer av kunskap som behövs i ett sånt här läge. Om vi återvänder till det här med den medicinska kunskapen och behovet av det i ledningen på organisationen, inte minst då som Magnus Gisslén har poängterat. Hur ser det ut i andra länder kan man fråga sig. Gisslén har själv inne på att det inte brukar vara som i Sverige.

Basil in nutrient solution.
Basil transplants in nutrient solution. Simplest approach is to buy a pot at the grocery store and put cuts in a glass of water. After roots have grown to 2-3 centimeters, put them in expanded clay in plastic pots with plenty of holes. The nutrient solution level should be at about 2/3 of the pot. Basil growing in nutrient solution. Three containers for about two months gives enough for the whole year. Roots grow as the level of nutrient solution gets lower. In very warm weather some additional water might be needed but I usually skip it. To be on the safe side I replace the nutrient after about 6 weeks. When replacing, only fill the container to about 2/3 to avoid oxygen problems in the root zone. Basil after harvest by cutting of the stem right above a pair of leaves. Two new stems emerge which are ready to harvest 1-2 weeks later. Simplest storage is to push as many leaves as possible into glass jars and freeze. Later when cooking, scratch the surface with a fork.
