I stole it after failing to convince the carpenter and I didn't know you could also try convincing his dad back when I did it. I managed to help them out later without things going poorly despite how god damn hard it was to do so.

You can ask around everywhere which inadvertently gets you involved in a bunch of quests, but once you finally get the strings you're treated to the two troubadours with absolutely no musical talent performing a song they wrote in your honor with a big elaborate cutscene. And that's just a sidequest

There are multiple ways to get the lute and once you get it you return to them at a tavern. While they're fiddling with it a drunk comes up, grabs it, and starts smacking the strings trying to play it. After you handle that, if you decide to help you'll be sent to find sheep gut strings. 2/3

That depends on what you think the tone is. Most quests aren't a stodgy 20 minute history lesson with dry dialog. The problems are mundane compared to high fantasy, but that's where the charm is. One of my favorite quests involves meeting two "troubadours" and having to get them a lute. 1/2

Sneaking around Kuttenberg at night with non-maxed out stealth after doing a bit of crime was the coolest I've felt doing stealth in a video game since Thief 2 man. Such a cool and fun locale with so much going on.

Well if that doesn't work out you can always turn to Coney.

You've got last week's timestamps as this week's timestamps btw.

DS3 is an interesting case, a lot of the mandatory boss fights are easy or gimmicks. Another thing that contributes to that sentiment is how strong parrying is. Pontiff Sulyvahn and Champion Gundyr are super hard on the first go, but are entirely trivialized by just learning to parry like 2 attacks.

Way of the Elements Monk is far worse even flavor-wise as well. The description makes you think you're gonna do cool Avatar shit but really you're just a shittier open-hand Monk that occasionally fire/force punches people. Aka you have caster cantrips that actually cost you a resource. Shit sucks.

Probably the one about Sailor Moon if they're like most people that complain about cancel culture.

1v1 can be a bit harder and 1vX can be a good bit easier in KCD2. It depends on the enemy but in general that's the trend.
Getting your dog early helps a good bit with combat. When he bites someone you can usually get 3-4 hits on them for free if you're quick. Also go train with the trainer a bunch

Sweet, I hope you have a good time with it.

You have to learn the mechanics a bit and get your combat skills up before you can start mashing through encounters but, it definitely does get easier.

The fistfight with Kunesh for new players is tricky, the fight with the Cumans is impossible unless you do insane grinding, the bandits range from easy to hard, and Runt is literally impossible to beat.
Once you finish him you can go through the main quest a tiny bit to unlock the combat trainer.

That's why you run the mod that warps your companions (within their respectively movement capabilities) to you if they stray too far

Yeah, it is crazy how much better the game feels with the whole crew.

Yeah, for as good as BG3 does some things it's weird that they've taken a few steps backwards in others. Picking your party when you leave camp and the ability to edit your party's walking formation are sorely missed features.

Playing with a party size of 6 immediately felt so much better. The difficulty just with all the vanilla difficulty settings cranked up honestly felt fine with average builds. The vanilla party limit should've been 5/6, it being set to 4 for "balance" didn't really serve the game well imo.
