completely!! i get soooo many retail industry newsletters that are talking out both sides of their mouth re: AI's effect on the future of shopping. i'm with you that it's going to push people into stores - not into the arms of some AI agent shopping assistant.

unfortunately i think it'll be more like:
robot 1: she googled a rug
robot 2: here are 4 she might like that are vaguely related
1: lets go with #3
2: ok. i'll send #1 because it aligns more closely with my brand's quarterly sales goals & initiatives
