Gentleman in the streets, freak in the skeets. Reply guy. Probably not a bot. He/Him.
Some things are rules just because they are.

In the high jump you *must* take off from just one foot. You can go over the bar head first, feet first, sideways, backwards, face up, or face down, but you can't jump from both feet.

Why?

Because that's the rule (there's history, but whatever).

And fewer high speed chases would be a good thing.

I sympathize with people trying to escape from ICE, but doing 75 in a residential area is not the right way to do it.

Is it badly enough wrong to matter? If it thinks the speed is 25 and it's actually 55 then that's a problem. 25 in a 35? That's annoying, but a completely different level of problem.

Plus, if this is standard, communities will have an incentive to fix this so that cars get it right.

Birth certificate doesn't prove anything, either. Maybe I renounced US citizenship. You just can't be sure...

But it *is* proof of lawful status, which should be sufficient here.

Probably true, but it still means that the 25th isn't any sort of solution. Ultimately he has to be unpopular enough that the Senate will vote for removal. Invoking the 25th would just be a sign to the legislature that it's gotten to that point.

First, I'm really, really, REALLY bummed that people who got a DUI might have to suffer some inconvenience as a result.

Second, if we really think it's an issue, the state could make them free.

It's only a problem if we insist on making it one.

My feeling is that if the Cabinet tries to 25th him, he'll submit in writing that he's fine, and then fire all of them.

What then?

At which point it goes to congress and the barrier there is higher than that for impeachment.
December 12, 2025 at 1:51 AM
Explain to me how it would help. The 25th says he can just say (write, technically) "Nuh, uh. I'm good" and he's back.

Put another way, 14% of the people who thought he was doing a good job in March no longer think so.

And he wasn't starting from a position of strength.

Hospital A has cheaper X-rays, but I don't know if I need an X-ray. Maybe I need an MRI. Hospital B has cheaper MRIs.

How am I supposed to price out the hospital's services when I don't know what services I need?

Tubi may be the only service where the ads have higher production values than the shows they are interrupting.

There is a picture of him filling his Lamborghini Diablo with gas, so I think he probably can (or could) drive a car.

Maybe if there were some app on your phone that told you if the light was green. That would be handy...
