Right Microsoft did an ocean version of this (which is actually kinda cool/smart since they used the ocean water for cooling, whereas cooling is space is incredibly difficult) but even there the maintenance angle was very complicated. For something in the ocean, not in space.

Right? That was a freak gasoline fight accident, this was premeditated, show some respect.

I’m going to create a keyboard shortcut to ask them how spending donor money on buying lists to get donors to spend money on lists is any different from It’s Always Sunny’s self sustaining economy episode

Oh shit you can hurt peoples feelings with those spam messages, I thought they were fire and forget. This changes everything.

If we could please tackle this in the phone system itself and knock off shit like swatting and other nastiness while we’re at it it’d be suuuuper.

I’m a little confused by the usecase, you could prompt an llm to extract the items 1-by-1 with line breaks and then paste into e.g., apple notes beginning on a checkbox line. Or ask it for markdown and flop into a markdown notetaker. I assume this is more a concept demonstration but still.

Wait how many Russians came over in this time, we were building off ex-nazis who came over in operation paperclip and this wasn’t exactly a choice-based operation. They lived in military housing under pretty strict conditions if memory serves.

I need to save time so that I can spend hours arguing with strangers on the internet about how I’m never wrong (like in real life too)

If you’re in a PPO or certain types of HMOs you don’t have to go through a PCP, but I don’t know that it’s worth structuring a health care plan around that feature or anything. I usually want to go to my PCP first so they’re in the loop and can recommend from experience anyways.

There’s a scene in Community where Chevy Chase’s character, having been caught in an absurd lie, bemoans that no one takes him seriously and that’s why he did it. I think about it frequently, apropos of nothing.

I don’t know how to extend your analogy to “people who get convinced to spend $50 on oil and create multi-thousand dollar insurance claims”, probably involves nitrous and ramps.

I’m going this path, I’ve done an oven turkey and it was good but going for the pellet smoker this year and I’m thinking that’ll be a better format for that grill. Wish me luck!

Panera is in a different league with this, I haven’t been to one in a while but when we did go there, my standard order was silently killed multiple times. Can’t say I’ve had that experience at any fast casual place other than there.

Minor disagreement and then I’ll see you at Buffalo Wild Wings, I don’t think this is a capitalism thing, I think it’s a Strauss-Howe thing and we’re at the nadir.

To wit, they’re mostly looking at nuclear plants. The AI companies want consistency on their power availability; it’d be cool to see a solar/battery setup but nuclear probably makes more sense at this moment. I’m pretty negative on AI fwiw but what they’re doing with power cos is interesting.

The new move is to build these things inside the perimeter of the plant so that they’re not grid connected. It’s the reason why companies like Constellation have seen their stock soar in the last ~year and a half.
