Had this random picture pop into my head of a person whose head was made of growing and shrinking diamond-shaped bits and decided to make a drawing around the idea 😂. Gotta love the randomness of the imagination sometimes :).

Logan Foster, a DND character I’ve done doodles of. She’s from a campaign we played in the Stars Without Number playbook. There’s a scar on the back of her head from intense telekinetic via the military, and they were chasing after her for it.

Her hull winks in the starlight until she is a speck of light, and then nothing at all. I’m falling and falling, though I can’t feel the rush of air around me, or see the ground rush up to greet me. I feel nothing but the pull of unseen gravity. Infinite night surrounds me like smoke in water, pooling above my earlobes, wreathing itself in my hair. I’m wearing no helmet. I’m wearing nothing at all. The darkness, the swell of space, softly curls against me, covering me, snaking into my nose and my ears and finally my eyes, filling up the gaps between eyeball and skin, around into the socket, flowing into me until I’m full to burst. Idora’s voice was weak, her lack of fight exposing her accelerating frailty. Ira continued despite his inner conflict and felt her gradually grow limp and heavy in his arms. Only a few moments passed before a final, fleeting breath left her lips. Feeling unnerved, Ira paused.

Idora strained, but the strength she’d once had over Ira was surprisingly comparable to his own. His grip remained firm despite her squirming. “Please,” her eyes rolled slightly in her head. He couldn’t. He knew this is what he had to do, what he had ultimately chosen to do.

He bit again, offset from the first to intensify the flow. A pained, choked cry fell again on deaf ears that only heard the flood of blood down his gullet. The burning in his throat slowly extinguished with each blissful swallow. The pain of the wounds in his arms & shoulders softened.

He drew her head aside to further expose what he craved. She strained in response but he didn’t hear her. Lips pressed against her throat, he opened his mouth, fangs shifting into place. There was only a moment’s hesitation before they pierced her skin & blood began to drip into his maw.

Ira pulled Idora close, feeling odd because she’d always demanded to be treated with respect for her & her space. His eyes fell to her neck, drawn by the deadened blood within. He drew away the collar of her shirt from the artery, tangling his other hand in her braid.

Idora pulled away from Ira with a strength far beyond what he was able to control, even more so in his famished state. Seeing this, the bishop stepped up behind her, firmly pressing her toward him and quelling further defiance. Remorseful, Ira pulled her towards him again.
