The Challenge

Using only affordable cameras (no motion capture, markers, or prior object knowledge), estimate mass and stiffness on-the-fly while safely receiving previously unseen objects and delivering them to target locations.
February 12, 2026 at 2:30 PM
Design solutions that enable robots to estimate and respond to unknown object properties in real-time during dynamic handovers. Teams will work with food containers and drinking glasses of varying shapes, sizes, and unknown fill levels.
