She doesn’t even reach out to Em until she learns she’s become famous from her adventures. It’s all to further her own image. She wasn’t always like that, though. Her downward spiral didn’t really start in my mind until a couple of years before Carteneau, stress being a major factor.

Dolly is a socialite thru & thru & is often more concerned with herself and how she’s perceived instead of her daughters’ needs. She doesn’t even give Em a proper homecoming when she returns to Gridania. She’s turned to alcohol since her husband & youngest’s passings & it’s made her angry & bitter.

See the world and make something of herself. He’d even had money set aside for both his girls so when they turned 18 they could study or move out or do whatever they wanted. Em ultimately used that money to fund her studies in Sharlayan after the Calamity. Dorothy Sinclair, however—⬇️

Lucas Sinclair was a general in the Twin Adder who died on the frontlines of Carteneau. He was supportive of Em when she wanted to pursue archery & even tried to get her a spot in the guild but she was ultimately rejected. I think if he were alive, he’d absolutely support his daughter’s desire to⬇️

I started looking for career paths that I would find interesting that also paid half decently, I stumbled upon the med tech page for a sister campus for my alma mater. My best friend had the same degree, she encouraged me, & I went for it. Now I’m switching jobs to a bigger hospital!

And Dawntrail is no where near as “bad” as people what you to think.

Stb just felt so SLOW to me, but I think half of that problem was I had a little gremlin in my ear telling me to hurry up and get to Shb. I think when I play through it again on my alts, I might feel differently.

But Shadowbringers is what made me go. Oh. This is peak actually. Obvs I fell in love with the Exarch at this point as well but I already loved Aymeric too.

Heavensward made me fall in love with the game, that’s why it’s so high on the list. It’s what initially grabbed my interest, ARR felt like a right of passage you had to suffer through (I no longer feel this way)
