- She's also tenacious, but not in an entirely good way. She simply will NOT give up when she sets her mind to something, even when she thinks it's impossible. She'll go at it until all options are exhausted and even a little beyond.

The setting is a small, isolated island that is struggling to survive after a long war and a bunch of natural disasters, there's sea monsters getting in the way of trade and shit, and on top of that the island goddess is missing.

There's only one MC for my current project, a young journalist trying to thwart a plot by corrupt members of her government.

There are two important side characters, pirates, who have been sent to assassinate those responsible, but the MC also doesn't condone murder, so she takes it upon herself+

It's definitely not easy, nor safe, but the island is the only home she knows and if it's conquered everything will change for the worse
