This week, several people drowned near Samos, Greece as they tried to find safety. I made the same crossing in 2015, I witnessed how people drowned & how they were shouting for help, & almost a decade later, nothing has changed.

Six children died in the disaster, while the police found 36 survivors alive on Samos and three people were rescued.

It’s simple: If we can offer sanctuary to those fleeing war in Ukraine, we can do the same for refugees from Afghanistan, Syria, and beyond. Don’t let political games decide who deserves to live in safety. Stand up, speak out, and demand change. 🔴 #SafeRoutesForAll #JusticeForRefugees

Why do we open the doors for some and lock them for others? The idea that some refugees are ‘worthy’ of help while others are not is racist and rooted in xenophobia. If your compassion only extends to people who look like you, you’re part of the problem. ALL refugees deserve safety. #EndTheBias
