I could definitely be a bit more generous with the whipped cream and cherries for the filling next time
Also, since I botched the first sponge, I had to do the entire thing today and it'll definitely be even better tomorrow when the flavors have really had time to soak into the sponge

No kirsch because my sister wouldn't be able to eat it, but it ended up way too rich for her in the end anyway 😂
Luckily for her I fucked up the first sponge and made cake pops out of it and those were more to her taste

Mom's birthday cake
Repeat of last years with some refineminements. Top didn't turn out as pretty, but the taste was incredible
3 layers of princess sponge with a full batch of vanilla custard and a litre of macerated strawberries for fillings. Used the syrup from the berries to brush the sponges 👌

Didn't just look pretty either, ftr
Classic princess with raspberry/mango jam. I got the whipped cream super light and fluffy this time too
