Semi-professional nerd (Retailer in tabletop gaming.) I also occasionally paint my miniatures. You can usually find me in Eorzea, Teyvat, or Tyria. He/ Him, opinions and views here are reflective of me only.
But is he willing to accept the love of Father and help us overthrow the oppressive Imperium and usher in a new age of enlightenment?

You must snatch the models from her hand. Only then will you be a true master.

I picked up more of these guys too! They were from when it was still branded for AoS, so I need to hunt down 20mm squares.

They did, but the snow-covered plains was the cap on one end of the mosaic.

Ice Age had some very beautiful land art.
I loved that all the Plains, plus the Snow-Covered Plains were all one piece of art.

This stance from him doesn't surprise me at all given this Wargames Illustrated quote from an April 2023 Goonhammer article.
Or the intro to the 2nd edition Black Powder rulebook.

Given his take in a older issue of Wargames Illustrated (as quoted in an April 2023 Goonhammer Article.)

Have you looked into Studio Tomahawk's SAGA for skirmish?

You know what? I'm leaving that typo there. Since birb beak helmets.

Oh, right. Kairic Acolytes. (Which until earlier this year did *not* cluck in my head that it was a reference specifically to Kairos Fateweaver...)

I can't wait for the Tzeentch cultists who look like Horrors! Or Flamers!
That said, while I like the distinction in horror styles like old Chaos, I do miss the 2000's era metal constant state of flux horrors.

Sam: I know. It's all wrong. By rights we shouldn't even fucking be here.

Gimli: Don't fucking tell the elf.

Ugluk: Looks like meat's back on the fucking menu, boys!

Wood Elf version of the runes are better.
December 26, 2025 at 5:15 PM
There was a Final Fantasy 1 novelization? (edit, rephrased as a question.)
December 24, 2025 at 11:12 PM
FF4, it's Kain because dragoon.
FF6, I'm with Natalie here, it's Cyan. Locke being a close second.
FF7, Reno. Especially his Advent Children version.
FF8, Quistis.
FF9, Vivi.
FF10, Auron.
FF12, Balthier.
FF13, not Hope.
FF14, I need a whole goddamn blog.
FF15, Ignis.

Yeah, that would be nice. Also, between that and Mordheim, that's how my Empire army started...
Vampire Counts and Wood Elves are the only two armies that I started for Warhammer Fantasy that weren't, "Well I have these models from these starter boxes. Might as well..."
December 23, 2025 at 6:05 PM
This is true. But just because the ruleset is called Epic: *Armageddon*, doesn't mean it has to be played there.
December 23, 2025 at 6:00 PM
Being honest, I wouldn't have quite as many armies if I didn't work at a hobby shop that stocked GW stuff.
My O&G army started out as the 6th and 7th edition starters, plus some of the models from WHQ95. I realized a couple of boxes would bring it up to a playable army. And then I went overboard.
December 23, 2025 at 5:59 PM
Nah, it's the Guardians of the Covenant, which is my 40K scale force. I just wanted the smol rules version too.
December 23, 2025 at 5:57 PM
Epic: Armageddon. I suppose I could have just said Epic. But I was runningout of characters.
December 23, 2025 at 5:52 PM
40K: GSC, Tyranids, 1k Sons, Dark Angels
ToW: Counts, Empire, O&G, Wood Elves, Brettonians, smol Dwarf contingent, someday WoC
BB: Nope.
Mordheim: Undead
Necromunda: GSC, Delaque, Spyrers
AoS: Stormcast, Sylvaneth, SBGL, FEC, Disciples, Maggotkin, Blades of Khorne
(EA: Marines, BFG: Imp, SM.)
December 23, 2025 at 5:46 PM
Yeah, but the Catachans look bad...

Honestly for Mordians, I want to see a kit that has a Mordian-style uniform with a mix of Mordian heads and Praetorian heads.
