How can we expect parents to let their kids ride to school if this is how their neighbours drive towards them? He's five by the way .

This is what we call "the money shot".

Why? Because it'll cost the driver a shit load of money when you add up the fine (and court costs if they're stupid enough to fight it) combined with the massively increased insurance premiums for using a mobile phone whilst driving.

Worth it? I hope so.

These are my feelings about things. I hate the idea that we have to abandon space on our pavements in order to protect them from dangerous or lazy drivers.
But at the same time, I do see the value in forcing drivers to follow the rules rather than leaving it up to chance.

Parking on zigzags and mounting the pavement.

All to put up or take down the latest advert for McDonald’s.

This could be prevented if ordinary citizens could submit this stuff quickly and simply through an app. It would massively transform our public spaces for the better.

Sometimes I’m just really grateful that I live in an area where this is what counts as “finding drugs in the playground” rather than living somewhere you get stabbed by your neighbour’s drugged up son.

A purple children’s oral medicine syringe is lying in the grass. It is a medicine called “calpol” which is orally administered for small children with headaches

Yup. I’ve seen many of those studies and see it in action out on the roads. Hence why I ride so defensively and was able to slow to avoid this one.

Sad to hear that the postcode lottery of justice continues.
But yes, a larger vehicle is often used by bad drivers because they know the consequences of a collision are low. They’d never pull out on a bus like this.

Yeah, but have you ever tried NOT pulling out on cyclists?

If not, I'd highly recommend trying this.

It'll certainly save you money in fines and massively increased insurance premiums. And if you need to drive for your job, it might even save your job.

I haven’t bought any Christmas related foods. Because I don’t want it.

Easiest way for people to stop seeing this stuff is to stop buying it. Then supermarkets will stop putting it out.

A selfish parent picking their child up from school decided that they are more important than the 50 kids trying to get onto the coach as well as the 30 families waiting in cars behind the stuck coach.

Luckily I squeezed past on my bike.

No. I don’t remember saying that. I simply pointed out that it was initiated by Johnson, left alone by Truss, Sunak and Starmer. It’s ok to be annoyed that you didn’t get it right in your initial post.
