2/3 even if you don’t partake in the #meettheeditor sessions, read up on the Q&A! So much is relevant advice for querying and revising and general industry/craft knowledge! Same thing goes for #10queries, even for editors you didn’t submit to!

1/3 I hope this doesn’t sound generic, but definitely focus on putting together the best submission pack you can—a QL that has clear stakes, hooky logline, and as strong of a manuscript as you can (strong ≠perfect—my QL and manuscript both got 100x better with @joelbrigham.bsky.social’s suggestions)

Can confirm @joelbrigham.bsky.social really is fantastic! He LOVES sports so if you have a story in that realm definitely submit to him! Otherwise you’ll prbly get the most bang for your buck on time focusing on query and logline (tho full disclosure I edited my manuscript up to the last minute 😂)
