Matthew Shepard endured unfettered hatred. He suffered beating and humiliation because he was a gay man. But he also unleashed a reckoning which we must continue today. No one, NO ONE, should suffer discrimination for who they are, who they love or what they look like. For Matthew - never again!!

Can someone enlighten me as to which terrorism he wants to extinguish. The terrorism of healthcare? Economic security? Equal rights? Equal opportunity? Which specific items do you classify as terroristic? Voting rights? Democratic institutions of representative government? What exactly?

One of the by products of growing up Gay is often empathy. Realizing and embracing the pain of others in the hopes it reduces or eliminates its negativity. It is a burden worth having, for it makes me more human, more civic minded and, dare I say, more Christ like. May you always be vulnerable.

I’m fairly well educated and have no idea what this information portrays. If you are trying to communicate to less than economists, sat the general public, you are failing. A brief explanation would be very helpful.

Agree with Tom here. Him exercising what power he currently has is the direct result of him being weakened. He has to act now before the midterms. He has the veneer of invincibility, only because we bestow it upon him. He is losing and will be relegated to the dustbin of history, if not imprisoned.

I have been following Rep Crockett for a long time and am really enjoying her development. Once merely a fire breathing dragon, which was refreshing and entertaining, she has mastered the ability to present cogent, concise language to a problem or issue. This, imo, makes her more effective. Brava!!!

Charlie Kirk should be alive today. There is no excuse for killing this man. For Scott Jennings to proclaim left wing ideology was the culprit is more a result of his employment responsibilities than fact. People are complicated. Nuance is not Mr Jennings strong point. We just don’t know yet.

As a very happily married man, I would suggest he was desired by many men as well. He was the personification of real masculinity. Strong, reassuring, open, supportive, mischievous and playful. ANY person with a pulse would be interested.

A young 70 here. Bluesky seems to be more open to discussion. Points are made or refuted with usually done evidence. There is less hatred for sure. Not sure I would go so far as tolerant, but not totally dismissive of new or opposing views. Refreshing after the debacle of twitter. That was yuck!!!

You do not know what you are talking about. Yes, it is imperative to refuse an illegal order. NO illegal order has yet to be given. I don’t agree with any of this, but it is NOT the responsibility of the individual Guard member to declare the order illegal. If they refuse the order they are arrested

I’ve served in the military. The order as presented to them, is, in fact, a legal order. To refuse is a criminal offense punishable by prison time. Until the 30 day window is over, Trump is within his rights to give such an order, no matter how ill advised. You don’t know what you’re talking about.

Mr Trump is a notorious germaphobe and does not like to be touched or fondled. He would not be employing a masseuse, period. That does NOT rule out employing or utilizing underage girls for sexual activity. There is a very big difference. They were asking very, very explicit questions.

I am not a fan of the First Lady. Find her quite narcissistic and opportunistic. I’m sort, I don’t like her at all. Having said that, at least she was trying to accomplish the right goal - a cease fire. It certainly is a step up from her 2018 Jacket. While not effective., at least correct goal.

Be sure to harvest the flowers from the squash and give them an egg wash and then lightly bread. Fry in very hot oil for just a short time and then enjoy. Little salt. They’re delicious!!!

I have been confronted with MAGA’s. They do not respect “we’ll agree to disagree”. They want to try and bait you into doing something stupid, even if it’s obvious I could kick their ass. So, confrontational AND stupid.

Tom, I think I understand as I am most usually quite positive. What, pray tell, do you find hopeful and inspirational during these times. Perhaps your lifestyle allows you more of a positive impression. Were I undocumented, of a darker skin or poor, I would not find anything to be pleased about.

Perhaps I am old are set in my ways, but what seemed a beautiful young man, comfortable in his image, now seems a contrived wanna be who strives for attention. I much prefer the previous look, but support his choice to appear as he sees fit.

This gentleman is good at advertising and running as a politician. If he is even 40% as successful a Governor, NYC will be well served. Intellectual and personality can take you a long way, let’s support him and see of how much he is capable. We know the others, they don’t have “it”.
