New problem: the oven is acting up, and they keep starting the FIVE HOUR SELF-CLEAN BEFORE TELLING ME.
Self-clean is not a magic fix-it button! It's an OBSTACLE to fixing the oven! It can even cause NEW problems!
And it's going to end sometime AFTER we needed to get the turkey started. Brilliant.

TIL that a router is supposed to assign its non-LL address to a LOOPBACK interface rather than a physical interface. I didn't even know that was even possible, let alone functional, but.
Also the LAN port(s) shouldn't get their own GUAs from the PD.
So pfSense is doing EVERYTHING wrong.

As of at least the November patch for Android 16, it appears that my PHONE can lease an entire /64 delegated prefix.
Which is absolutely fascinating, since the mechanism for that is DHCPv6 - something Google has steadfastly refused to "implement" in Android for well over 10 years.

It uses bespoke scripts bypasses the standard init and service subsystems in FreeBSD, leaving it vulnerable to SOLVED PROBLEMS like the DNS resolver stopping and not being restarted.

I added a new IPv6 route. Different endpoint, encapsulated tunnel. Ping to gateway was fairly steady at 3-4 ms, zero dropped packets.
Set it as the default route and INSTANTLY got the same high-latency, high-loss behavior.

Further, now that I've halfway figured out dhcpcd's syntax - enough to try it and view some logs before before it buggered up every network link - it seems to have no issues at all.
